Build the Change
Season 1 | Trailer
Regina:
What are the stories that are gonna be said about you when you are no longer here?
[Driving music kicks up]
Brigitte:
I found something within me that I didn't know existed.
Lala:
We were building something from the ground up. We knew that we had an opportunity to do something big.
Larah:
At the time I really just was so nourished by that community that it was worth it. And I like would do it again a million times over.
Dune :
Sitting back and hoping that someone else is gonna come along … well, they’re not. We're the best we got.
Trisha :
That's what ultimately will save us all, is just community rising up and lifting each other up.
Regina:
…If I take this aspiration and sit back and do nothing with it, shame on me.
For me, it is always about being grateful for everyone who has come before me, and really breathing life into whatever aspirations that they may have died having, but were not able to fulfill just because the world around them did not allow it.
[Music cuts]
Regina:
In this moment, the world around me is allowing it.
[New music starts]
